The Innocents

By Francesca Segal

A young Jewish couple gets engaged. They are one of those “perfect” couples everyone envies. As they move through the wedding plans and deal with societal and family expectations, insufferably pathetic Adam starts to question the whole thing. The arrival of his fiancé’s troublesome, sexy cousin doesn’t help his personal crisis of confidence in his engagement. While Adam was fairly annoying and his weakness and lame excuses for his behavior were beyond tedious, I appreciated the overall story.
