The Two-Family House

By Lynda Cohen-Loigman

In Brooklyn in the late 1940s, two brothers share a family business and a duplex brownstone with their families (another example of the value of cover art….I’d love to live in a super cool Brooklyn brownstone and the picture of one on the cover of this book sold me!) A foolish, ridiculous decision is made one night and the ramifications that follow are predictably disastrous. You know exactly what has happened early on but it doesn’t ruin the story, as the real point is to look at the complex relationship of the two sisters-in-law. It is a good family drama.
