Meighan

I write short, pithy, book recommendations for family and friends. My best life is comprised of my husband, my boys, my books, a quiet place, a comfortable chair, a cocktail on my side table, and a Vizsla in my lap.

Over a decade ago, tucked inside our family Christmas card was my first Christmas Book List. With the advent of email the list was sent to a wider audience and unexpectedly forwarded on. In the years to come I would receive emails from recipients I had never met, and likely never will, but they wanted to thank me for my book recommendations and make sure they were on next year’s distribution list.

All the while, my family and friends were encouraging me to make the list into a blog or website or some techy thing in which I had no interest. Lo and behold, my dear friend Rob (and also my chief tech support and resource for all things geeky) went and made the blog a reality. I am thrilled and petrified. I eschew an online presence and I desire to bring no undue attention to my personally satisfying, happy life. (Hence, the blurry pictures.) However, my ambivalence is trumped by my desire to share my love of books and reading.

Rob says my job is to read and keep the reviews pithy. I can do that. Enjoy MoBooks and share MoBooks and find a local bookstore at which to buy mo’books.
