Miss You

By Kate Eberlen

A close second for my favorite this year. It is the story over a couple of decades of two people crossing through each other’s lives, skirting the edges, being in the same place and time but not quite meeting…then finally they collide. While it could be an absurd eye-rolling tale, it is so well crafted that it is completely believable. It is filled with likable characters for whom you want to see good things happen. It also made me wonder how many people have been floating around the perimeter of my life, nearly intersecting with me repeatedly but not quite. It is a fun thing to ponder.

I write short, pithy, book recommendations for family and friends. My best life is comprised of my husband, my boys, my books, a quiet place, a comfortable chair, a cocktail on my side table, and a Vizsla in my lap.
