The Unlikely Adventures of the Shergill Sisters

By Balli Kaur Jaswal

Cute. Three sisters get burdened with their mother’s deathbed request dropped like an anvil that they all return to India to scatter her ashes there. Thanks, mom! These girls have no meaningful connection to India having been raised in the States. In addition, they don’t particularly get along. Nothing like a sudden, major international trip to an exotic foreign land where you don’t speak the language with two annoying sisters and mom’s ashes to drum up some adventure! As you can imagine the trip is obediently taken and the sisters muddle through various events and surprises along the way. They are quite enjoyable company.
