The Floating Feldmans

By Elyssa Friedland

The title of this book is so absurd and the cover equally ridiculous, but in spite of both those facts I bought it. I was thinking a book that looks and sounds so silly just might be awesome. Again, we are presented with family dynamics. The matriarch of this Jewish family is turning 70 and damn it she is getting her dysfunctional, estranged family all together to celebrate. And she isn’t just making them come to dinner. No, this Jewish mom means business and is demanding they all join her on a week-long cruise! That way she has them captive and they are forced to dine together….every night. What could possibly go wrong? You will enjoy the Feldmans!
