Liane has written another compelling story that takes a look at a life thrown a curve ball and how one might suddenly make decisions one could never have imagined before being hit with that painful curve ball. This also presents a scattering of several unconnected characters who are slowly moving towards each other and collide at the end. I always enjoy the anticipation of discovering how the characters will all come together. It always makes me wonder what peripheral people currently in my life or from my past may be a much bigger part of my life in the future. I thought she pushed the limit on what a sensible person would do in the situation and Cecilia seemed not likely to make the choices she made. Nonetheless, I remain a Liane fan and await her next book.
