This is very Rosie Project-ish. Edsel is a sweet, dear, socially awkward fellow content in his isolation when he gets a call offering a free trip to a time share sales deal in Florida with the caveat he must attend with a companion. Because he so desperately wants to experience the beach, he decides to step outside his comfort zone to find a girlfriend so he can take the trip. The “adventures” that ensue due to this quest are the story. Like you couldn’t help but love poor, pathetic Don, you will also greatly enjoy and cheer for Edsel.
