I’m Still Here (Je Suis La)

By Clelie Avit

Another short, quick read with this one. Elsa is in a coma but tells us her thoughts. Thibault is visiting his loser brother in the same hospital. He ducks into Elsa’s room trying to dodge his family and decides to hang out a while to escape them because, well, this young woman isn’t going to mind, and her room is so peacefully quiet. The narration goes between the two, and as you can imagine twists and entanglements ensue.

I write short, pithy, book recommendations for family and friends. My best life is comprised of my husband, my boys, my books, a quiet place, a comfortable chair, a cocktail on my side table, and a Vizsla in my lap.
